Black Tea
Not all black tea is the same.
Black tea is the most intense of all varieties, and not just in its taste. It is particularly dark in colour and contains a lot of essential oils, flavouring substances and caffeine. Among black teas, Pu Erh tea has special status for being the only one that is truly fermented. It is compressed tightly in a container and then stored thoroughly closed for up to 70 years.
Green tea
Green in all its facets.
Green tea is heated to high temperatures immediately after the withering of the leaves to prevent oxidation. This results in the tea retaining its original green colour, unlike other varieties. Another speciality is the cultivation of tea plants to produce the popular matcha tea. For this tea, reed mats are stretched over the fields four weeks prior to harvesting to protect the plants from the sun. After harvesting,the tea leaves are then steamed, dried and – once all the coarse leaf structures have been removed – ground to a fine powder in stone mills. Oolong tea
The perfect combination.
Oolong is partially oxidised tea and therefore lies somewhere between green and black tea in terms of taste and colour. This is because the oxidation is interrupted earlier in the production than in the case of black tea. The name comes from the Chinese “Wu” and “lung”, which means “black dragon”. The Chinese also call their partially oxidised teas “blue teas”. Oolong is made from a special variety of the shrub Camellia sinensis, which is replanted every five years. The infusion of these young plants is characterised by a full but mild aroma with fruity notes. This pure taste is best enjoyed and refined with creamy notes, in our MILKY FAVOURITE.
White tea
The purist among teas.
This one skips all the complex processing steps – all that is done to it, is that the tea leaves are dried. But this by no means implies that it is an easy tea to make. Quite the contrary – on the day it is harvested, the weather must be neither too sunny nor too wet. Only the tender buds and the freshly opened leaves are picked. We love making things easy. That’s why all you have to do is remove the foil from the capsule and place it in the capsule compartment. From here, it automatically slides into the specially developed brewing chamber.

For every tea to develop its flavours correctly, it must be prepared individually. The Avoury system adapts to the specific requirements of each type of tea.
Of course, you can customise the tea to your personal taste by individually changing the brewing time and cup size.
03 INNOVATIVE BREWING CHAMBER
Perfect tea should not be rushed.
We don’t pump the hot water at high pressure through our tea, but instead let it slowly circulate in the tea capsule. This causes the tea to be stirred about lightly with gentle thrusts of water. The specially adapted brewing times and temperatures ensure that the fine nuances of high-quality tea can develop freely and no undesirable bitter substances are formed.
Within 1 to 5 minutes, your tea is hot and ready to be poured.
04 AUTOMATIC CLEANING
Everything is highly intelligent – even the maintenance of your machine.
To ensure that you have an unspoilt tea experience every time, the tea machine automatically rinses itself after each use. The info lights inform you when the tea machine must be cleaned or descaled, or when the collection tank should be emptied or the water tank refilled.
We recommend that you regularly use our cleaning capsules and our liquid descaler, as well as changing the water filter.

Simply connect your Avoury One Tea Machine to your app via Bluetooth. To start the app, select the tea machine near you – and that’s it! You are now ready to use the app to prepare your tea. You can even do this without registering your machine.

Register your tea machine in your customer account and receive a comprehensive service that includes all the information about your tea machine. In addition, we provide you with exciting facts via your customer account about tea and water consumption, reminders to descale your machine and personal information about your tea machine.
04 Controlling the tea machine
Brew your favourite Avoury tea directly with the app! Don’t forget to first insert the capsule and top up the water in the tank. The app identifies from the capsule which tea you are making and sets all the parameters correctly for your perfect tea experience. You can start and track the preparation via the app screen, as well as customise individual brewing parameters to your liking.
